When loging in as a user on our network, the keyboard switches to a US one?

When logged in as an administrator on a workstation the keyboard settings are fine but as soon as a user logs in the keyboard changes to a US figurations ie @ and %26quot; are switched and no pound sign. I am not a profile expert and was wondering how I can fix this. It is not an option for the user to change the settings every time themselves as we are a school and users are as young as 4 years old.|||Right click on taskbar.

Up to tool bars.

Select language bar.

The language bar should appear on your taskbar.

If not untick lock taskbar.

Right click over language bar.

Select settings.

Remove American language settings.|||Thanks for the votes.

I always remove the American keyboard during installation of the operating system as it can cause havoc with passwords.

when you go into the settings in administrator have you just the UK settings? if not then you need to delete the other countries, this should change the settings for the children, if that doesn%26#039;t work you could have a faulty keyboard or keyboard drivers.

if you have any problems just drop a line and I will try to help more.

ctc|||I also work in schools and this can be a nightmare. The keyboard settings are locked into the profile of the user. Do you know what kind of network settings you have, especially do you use mandatory profiles?
