How do I change my keyboard settings from American back to English on XP?

The @ is coming up as the %26quot; and the %26quot; is coming up as the @.

HELP!!!!!|||This was surprisingly difficult when I looked! Go to Control panel and select %26#039;Regional and Language Options%26#039; Select the %26#039;language%26#039; tab and then click on %26#039;details%26#039; button. Change the default input language from the drop down menu to %26#039;English (United Kingdom). That should sort it!|||There is also a shortcut cut to change these settings which i have just found after a long time trying to change them. If you press the left Alt key and Shift it will switch between US and UK keyboards settings.

|||Control panel-%26gt; regional options-%26gt; %26#039;regional and language options%26#039; .|||Go to %26#039;Start%26#039;, click on Control panel; click date, time and regional options, click on %26#039;regional and language options%26#039; this opens another small window where you will see a drop-down menu and you can choose whatever language you like.|||Open microsoft word, and double click on the thing right at the bottom of the page which says %26#039;ENGLISH (US)%26#039; (it%26#039;s on a greyish bar, right below the bottom scroll bar) then selcect english uk from the list. Hopefully that should fix it. Good Luck
