How do i retrieve the "@" sign on windows xp from factory settings (american u.s)?

What two keys change windows xp keyboard settings from its factory default e.g, the %26quot;@%26quot; key staying as speech marks? All the regional settings are in uk, but i distinctly remember that the last solution was to press two keys, possibly %26quot;shift and................. ?How do i retrieve the %26quot;@%26quot; sign on windows xp from factory settings (american u.s)?if it isn't on ur keyboard go on hatmail and it will give u an example copy and paste it. Or u could click on **** and two or shift and the key 2 spaces left to L.How do i retrieve the %26quot;@%26quot; sign on windows xp from factory settings (american u.s)?One question. Is the @ actually on the 2 key or is it where it should be with a ' on the same key like on a UK keyboard layout next but one to the Enter Key?

If it is the former you can't because you will change the whole keyboard layout all over it, and will affect a lot of other key functions and some characters wont be where they should be!

If it is the latter then it's in the US mode.

Control Panel Regional %26amp; Languages On the first page at the top change the drop down to English (UK) At the bottom change the Location to United Kingdom Advanced Change that drop down to English (United Kingdom) Apply and OKHow do i retrieve the %26quot;@%26quot; sign on windows xp from factory settings (american u.s)?If the problem is what I'm thinking of, in windows Vista, the two keys are CTRL + Shift.
