How can I change the key settings on my keyboard?

For a while now a key hasn%26#039;t worked on my laptop%26#039;s keyboard, and since I would like to avoid having to buy a new USB keyboard I would like to know if I can assign a different key to that same value.

There are two Ctrl and two Shift keys on a keyboard, so I was wondering if there was a way to set either of those to type in the missing key instead. If there%26#039;s no way to change just one then changing it for another key like Advance Page?|||yes it is possible

the key mappings are determined by a registry entry.

(btw, to get into the registry.

Go to start -%26gt; run and in there type %26quot;regedit%26quot;

if you%26#039;re on vista or win 7 just type %26quot;regedit%26quot; into the search bar in the start menu and press enter.)

if not then the terms you want to be searching for on the net are %26quot;keyboard remapping%26quot;, %26quot;keyboard key remapping%26quot; and similar.|||control panel, then keyboard settings|||just buy another keyboard. There cheep at walmart. Get a nive Logitecg board for only 12 bucks.|||?????
