I've somehow changed the setting of my keyboard. Thinking it's the keyboard i bought a new one but that still didn't work. I can't remember where i changed the settings and also can't find any online information. I've got the new vista, has that got something to do with it? I need a idiots step by step guide as to how to fix this problem? Just make sure that you haven't downloaded or saved anything new on your PC. With sys restore, you can go back to the time before you made the changes and if System Restore was enabled before.
Go to Start-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore.
Just follow the prompts and it will show you a calendar where you can choose the date to go back to. Then set to allow NumLock on boot (now save changes and exit). It will automatically boot w/ the NumLock on....To turn NumLock on or off at any time after booting, simply hit the NumLock key on your number pad (look up top right for the NumLock light on your keyboard.
