My numlock keys have stopped working how do i fix this?

I've somehow changed the setting of my keyboard. Thinking it's the keyboard i bought a new one but that still didn't work. I can't remember where i changed the settings and also can't find any online information. I've got the new vista, has that got something to do with it? I need a idiots step by step guide as to how to fix this problem? Just make sure that you haven't downloaded or saved anything new on your PC. With sys restore, you can go back to the time before you made the changes and if System Restore was enabled before.

Go to Start-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore.

Just follow the prompts and it will show you a calendar where you can choose the date to go back to.
