Keyboard problems?

I think my keyboard has reverted to the american style layout instead of the english default setting,as when i try to use the tab button and press certain characters ,different characters appear on screen to those selected on the keys, such as the@symbol i have to press the tab key and the number 2 on my keyboard instead of the key that represents this symbol, and also the pound sign produces the following symbol#when i do the same thing. Can anybody tell me how to change my keyboard back to its original settings, any help would be much appreciated, thanks.Keyboard problems?if you're running XP:

On the Microsoft Windows Start menu, point to Control Panel.

Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options and then click Regional and Language Options.

Click the Languages tab and then click Details under Text services and input languages.

Select the desired keyboard layout from the Default input language list and then click Apply.

If you want to be able to switch keyboard layouts by using the Language bar, click Language Bar under Preferences, and then select the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.Keyboard problems?Yep, it is set in US.

Press Ctrl and 2 to reset.
